Job description

As our team has grown, so have the hiring needs of our IT department. We are looking to add an individual with high-quality phone skills who is passionate about helping people. This role will be responsible for intaking helpdesk requests for the company via phone and email. As long as you can bring in your customer service skills, we'll be able to provide you with the rest of the training. Candidates with experience in customer service, retail, or reception will find this a great opportunity. Previous IT experience is optional.
Job Responsibilities
  • Answering phones enthusiastically and logging help requests for the IT department. The majority of your job is going to be on the phone.
  • Responsible for ensuring that requests for the IT department are appropriately received and recorded in the Help Desk database
  • Practice patience and compassion when interacting with the company's internal teams.
  • Effectively communicating with the IT team to pass on important information about whatever help is being requested.
  • Coordinating with other departments regarding IT technical issues to ensure that the problem at hand is fixed promptly and efficiently.
  • Various support tasks such as basic supply purchasing, login assistance, and other duties as assigned
  • Assist with Onboarding/Offboarding, account creation/removal, and FAQ maintenance.

Education and/or Experience
  • Those with a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Phone skills are a must
  • Time management skills - able to manage a list of requests varying in priority
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Top-notch communication skills, both written and oral
  • Attention to detail
  • Accountability and flexibility with duties as the need arises
  • A calm, methodical working style, and most importantly, the ability to stay on task under pressure.

Compensation
  • $14-$17 depending on experience

Schedule
  • Monday - Friday
  • 8:30 am - 5:30 pm, with flexibility and overtime as needed.
  • One Saturday per month
