Essential Job Duties

Product Vision & Roadmap Ownership:

  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned with business objectives and technical feasibility
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring the development team has a clear understanding of product vision and priorities
  • Oversee all stages of the product development process, from concept through release, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Monitor product performance and iterate based on customer feedback and analytics to ensure business value is achieved

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Delivery:

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across UX/UI, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Technical Writing teams
  • Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria; translate business needs into detailed technical requirements and product specifications
  • Partner with UX/UI and Technical Writing teams to ensure cohesive design and documentation
  • Work alongside users to understand their needs and ensure user stories are ready for development with all supporting documentation and wireframes

Performance, Governance & Continuous Improvement:

  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform product decisions
  • Track performance metrics, user adoption, and outcomes to continuously improve solutions
  • Demonstrate the ability to measure value and impact with key metrics associated with product rollout to customers and AdvancedMD employees
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, ethical considerations, and best practices

 What You'll Need to Get the Job Done:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Product Design, Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product management or product ownership in SaaS or healthcare technology
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in Agile environments
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and product lifecycle management
  • Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
  • Analytical mindset with experience in data-driven decision-making
  • Familiarity with healthcare platforms such as AdvancedMD is a plus

What Will Make us LOVE You

  • 10+ years of experience as a product owner with a successful track record of developing products within deadlines
  • Experience working in regulated industries, particularly healthcare or health IT
  • Background in software engineering, data engineering, or UX/UI collaboration
  • Experience with tools such as: JIRA, Confluence, Figma, Miro, Aha.io, ADO, Pendo, and Claude Code
  • In-depth understanding of industry market conditions and trends with demonstrated ability to connect technical delivery to longer-term business strategy
  • Creative and innovative thinker with outstanding verbal and written communication skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as a contributing collaborator across a complex, cross-functional product organization
