Job description

SUMMARY

The Small Engine Repair Associate is responsible for the overall operation and success of the small engine/ lawnmower repair department. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Diagnose, adjust, repair or overhaul small engines used in lawnmowers, chainsaws, and related equipment
  • Able to drive ton truck and 16' trailer on a regular basis
  • Pick up and drop off of customers equipment in a neat and professional manner
  • Work within company programs, policies and procedures
  • Promote and support established programs
  • Communicate with and receive product from approved vendors
  • Operate a forklift
  • Follows safety policies and procedures; is a safety role model
  • Other duties assigned
  • During slow or off-season technician will be asked to work in one of our ACE Hardware retail locations. This would be temporary if at all and determined by work load

  • Ability to write warranty claims and service tickets. 
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and the general public.
