You love sharing knowledge with others and are good at using writing to do just that. And you are looking to use these skills to start building a career in technical writing.
As a Technical Writer I, you will be part of a small, but energetic, team supporting a product that assists major companies all over the world in protecting themselves from growing cyberthreats. You will write and update articles and user guides about product features, which involves learning about the feature, drafting text and capturing graphics, incorporating feedback from peers and subject matter experts, publishing finalized material to an online knowledge base, and performing administrative tasks to track changes and keep meticulous records.
This is a temporary contract role.
This position is available as remote in the US.

The opportunity
  • Write, publish, and update knowledge base articles for a cybersecurity Software as a Service (SaaS) platform.
  • Test and document platform features.
  • Collaborate with a small team to prioritize tasks and set achievable goals.
  • Work closely with subject-matter experts and other employees across multiple teams and disciplines to resolve questions, provide solutions, and accomplish mutual goals.
  • Shape and execute strategy for long-term documentation improvement projects.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in a related field (e.g., English, writing, communications, instructional design, software/computer engineering).
  • 1-2 years of work experience as a technical writer, preferably in the technology industry or a related field.
  • Excellent command of oral and written English.
  • Professional or academic experience with writing, editing, or publishing.
  • Proficiency with documentation and publication technologies such as word processing, image editing, and web publishing tools.
  • Ability to learn and master new technologies and applications.
  • Communication skills for collaborating with team members, subject-matter experts, and stakeholders in other departments.
  • Extreme attention to detail and keen observation skills.
  • Ability to receive and apply feedback iteratively.
  • Ability to learn complex systems and devise and implement accurate and thorough documentation and instructions about these systems.
  • Ability to learn quickly, work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and ask questions when uncertain.
  • Research and problem-solving skills for learning and adapting quickly to changes in a fast-paced software release environment.
