Job Description

Under general direction, manages, coordinates, and oversees activities related to the design, development, and maintenance support for specialized equipment, software, or databases. Exercises direct supervision over assigned staff.

7:45 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday

Essential Job Functions

  • Directs, manages, and oversees end user support with complex specialized equipment and software.
  • Manages the support, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment, departmental databases, and technical programs.
  • Works with leadership to design, create, and implement departmental databases.
  • Identifies departmental technical needs and requirements, and implements necessary changes and improvements.
  • Works with department leadership to develop and implement requirements and objectives in building project objectives and program plans.
  • Travels to different locations to inspect, evaluate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment and technical programs.
  • Prepares, reviews, and presents written reports, summaries, and presentations on program.
  • Interviews, selects, supervises, develops, evaluates, counsels, and if necessary, disciplines personnel according to established COSA policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Four (4) years of experience in database management, system support, or a relevant technical field
  • One (1) year of supervisory or lead experience
