We are searching for a results-oriented Technical Services Senior Engineer to join our Elevator Controls team at Vantage Elevation. This role serves as a technical leader, trusted advisor, and subject matter expert supporting customers, field personnel, engineering teams, and manufacturing operations.

Vantage Elevation, LLC is North America's leading independent manufacturer of elevator components and systems. Vantage is comprised of eight business units including GAL Manufacturing; GAL Canada; Hollister-Whitney; Elevator Controls; Courion; Bore-Max; Thames Valley Controls and Vertical Dimensions. Through its brands, Vantage supplies almost all electro-mechanical devices used in contemporary elevators. Vantage group employs over 1000 staff in multiple locations across the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom.
Requirements
We are searching for a candidate with:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in controls engineering and an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.
  • 5-8 years of experience within the elevator industry, including engineering, manufacturing, and/or quality-related roles.
  • Prior supervisory and/or leadership experience in a technical support environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of elevator systems, components, operating environments, and applicable industry regulations and standards.
  • Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to provide technical support both remotely and onsite.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and public-speaking skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, analytical, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Technical Support, Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Development, and Leadership teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to customer locations as needed, including on short notice.

Duties and Responsibilities
A typical day may include:
  • Serving as the highest level of technical escalation for customer and field support issues.
  • Responding to and resolving complex customer support concerns while providing hands-on assistance to customers and Technical Support Technicians.
  • Developing, maintaining, and delivering technical training programs for employees and customers.
  • Creating and maintaining training materials, technical documentation, product manuals, and technical bulletins.
  • Acting as the primary technical resource for production floor questions and serving as a liaison between Manufacturing and Research & Development teams.
  • Providing subject matter expertise and technical consultation to Product Development, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Teams, and other Vantage business units.
  • Supporting escalated internal technical issues across the organization.
  • Conducting technical presentations for customers, consultants, and industry organizations.
  • Representing the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and professional events such as NAEC Convention, NAEC Spring Educational Conference, ECNY, and MESA.
  • Traveling to customer sites to provide technical field support and expertise.
  • Participating in special projects and additional technical support initiatives as assigned by management.
