Technical Services Assistants are support professionals who help manage and maintain the technical operations within organizations, commonly in libraries, IT departments, or maintenance teams. Their responsibilities often include assisting with cataloging, organizing materials, handling equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting staff with various administrative or technical tasks. They play a key role in ensuring that technical services run smoothly and efficiently, often working behind the scenes to support the core functions of their department.

To thrive as a Technical Services Assistant, you need a background in library science, organizational skills, and attention to detail, often supported by an associate’s degree or relevant coursework.
