Customer Service Leadership Opportunity in the Semiconductor Industry


Are you an experienced customer service leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Schunk Xycarb Technology is seeking a Customer Service Manager to lead our customer service team, support business growth, and help deliver world-class service to the semiconductor industry.


Based at our Georgetown, Texas facility, which serves as the North American headquarters and Global Center of Excellence for Quartz Manufacturing and Reconditioning, this role partners closely with customers and cross-functional teams around the world to ensure outstanding service, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.


About the Role

As the Customer Service Manager, you will lead a team of three Customer Service Representatives while serving as a key liaison between customers, sales, planning, production, logistics, quality, and our global customer service organization.


You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely order management, developing your team, supporting forecasting and inventory activities, resolving customer concerns, and driving an exceptional customer experience.


What You'll Do

Management

  • Lead, coach, develop, and provide performance management for the local Customer Service team to deliver exceptional customer service and support business objectives.
  • Manage team workload, performance, training, and employee development.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Sales & Customer Support

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee the full customer order cycle, including quotations, sales order entry, delivery coordination, and customer communications.
  • Support Key Account Managers in maintaining strong customer relationships and achieving business goals.
  • Coordinate with Planning, Production, Purchasing, Logistics, Quality, and global Customer Service teams to meet customer requirements.
  • Monitor customer inquiries, orders, quotations, and complaints to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.

Planning, Reporting & Administration

  • Support forecasting, demand planning, inventory management, and consignment stock activities.
  • Maintain accurate customer, pricing, and sales data within SAP and other business systems.
  • Administer tariff fees and surcharges on customer orders, ensuring accurate application, documentation, and customer communication.
  • Analyze and report on customer revenue, open orders, order intake, and other key performance metrics.
  • Support annual pricing updates and business planning activities.

 

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 3+ years of customer service experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience.
  • Experience utilizing ERP systems for order management, forecasting, and customer support activities.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • SAP experience strongly preferred.
  • Semiconductor, electronics, or other technical manufacturing industry experience.
  • Experience supporting global customers and international operations.
  • Knowledge of forecasting, inventory planning, logistics, and order fulfillment processes.
  • Knowledge of export requirements and international shipping processes.
