We are currently seeking a Technical Service Representative for the Flooring Target Market. The candidate should be located near a major airport and must be able and willing to travel nationally. This position is responsible for providing high-quality technical support to customers, contractors, sales teams, and internal stakeholders by assisting with product recommendations, jobsite support, complaint investigations, technical training, field evaluations, and documentation related to Sika flooring systems. The position reports to the Technical Manager, Flooring.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide technical support to customers, contractors, applicators, distributors, sales personnel, and internal teams regarding Sika flooring products, systems, applications, and installation practices.
  • Conduct jobsite visits to evaluate substrate conditions, review installation procedures, support mock-ups, assist with troubleshooting, and provide field recommendations in accordance with product data sheets and project requirements.
  • Assist with complaint investigations, field evaluations, and Quality Incident Reports by documenting conditions, collecting relevant information, communicating findings, and supporting timely resolution.
  • Support product trials, field test programs, and new product introductions in coordination with Technical Services, Sales, Product Management, and R&D.
  • Provide accurate product recommendations and technical guidance based on project conditions, performance requirements, specifications, and applicable industry standards.
  • Prepare clear technical reports, site visit summaries, complaint documentation, warranty-related information, and other technical correspondence as required.
  • Assist in the development, review, and maintenance of technical literature, training materials, product information, and website content to support technical accuracy.
  • Deliver or support internal and external technical training programs, product demonstrations, contractor education sessions, and hands-on application workshops.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Sika flooring systems, competitive products, application methods, industry trends, and relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
  • Provide phone and email support to address technical inquiries in a timely, professional, and customer-focused manner.
  • Follow all company safety, environmental, quality, and compliance policies while performing field, laboratory, and office-based activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, construction management, business, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of technical service, field support, construction products, flooring, coatings, or related industry experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of resinous flooring systems, surface preparation, concrete substrates, moisture-related conditions, installation practices, and common field troubleshooting methods is highly desirable.
  • Direct experience supporting customers, contractors, applicators, distributors, and sales teams in field or technical service environments.
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to communicate technical information clearly, professionally, and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, site summaries, technical correspondence, and documentation.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to travel nationally as required to support customers, jobsite evaluations, training events, and field activities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn internal technical, quality, and reporting systems.
