Position Description:
  • A dynamic and technologically advanced team is seeking an experienced Agile Scrum Master.

  • The candidate brings knowledge of Agile principles and ceremonies, experience collaborating across complex organizations, removing impediments, and ensuring team progress toward missions and deliverables.

Responsibilities & skills Required:
  • Experienced as a Scrum Master and in a project management capacity within a large, complex financial organization or major consulting firm.
  • Highly versed in Agile Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
  • Technical background in integration, development, testing, and/or infrastructure. Ability to understand and implement front-to-back solutions.
  • Excellent relationship management, communication, teamwork, and influence skills; ability to operate at senior levels in both written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents, including identifying and managing project dependencies and critical paths. Experience estimating resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Ability to proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential issues, and devise contingency plans.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Strong familiarity with Agile project management software/tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • Proficient with MS Office applications: Excel, MS Project, Visio, Word, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated capability in successfully leading enterprise-wide programs and projects. High degree of business acumen and technical competency; ability to balance and bridge technology and business needs. Managed projects and programs for core functions, including elaborating business requirements, analyzing systems and process flows, and meeting critical time- and scope-bound milestones and deliverables.
  • Collaboration across technology organization, providing sound business analysis, process and change leadership within a maturing, Agile PDLC framework. Provide thought leadership and recommendations to management based on best practices and experience working in a global and diverse environment. Build program and project status reporting aligned with enterprise project portfolios. Provide Senior Management with transparency regarding portfolio issues and risks, and recommend and implement strategies for effective and efficient operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and resolve scheduling and other conflicts to meet all deadlines. Experience working with agile lifecycle and/or tracking and process management tools, e.g. JIRA. Identify and analyze opportunities and make tactical/strategic recommendations. Deep skills in program management tools, including Microsoft Project, Access, Word, Excel, Visio, and SharePoint. Plan and conduct relevant meetings with key stakeholders.
 
Required:
  • Experience working on technology projects related to the Financial Services domain. Knowledge of Wealth Management, Banking technology & related applications. Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology is preferred. Kanban is also a plus.
  • The team closely interacts with the business to work on the project plan, determine the scope, secure related funding, and work closely with the development teams to execute and deliver the projects. The team is also responsible for efficiently managing the project (using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies) and carries out cross-team networking and interactions to remove impediments.
