Job description

We are looking for a Technical Representative to support day-to-day technology needs in Eagan, Minnesota. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys resolving hardware and software issues, coordinating service activities, and delivering dependable technical assistance in a fast-paced environment. The role focuses on hands-on desktop support, issue triage, and clear communication with users and internal partners to keep equipment and systems operating smoothly.


Responsibilities:

• Provide front-line technical assistance for desktop hardware, software, and peripheral issues, ensuring timely resolution of user incidents and service requests.

• Diagnose and triage reported problems, determine next steps, and coordinate scheduling for repairs, installations, or follow-up support as needed.

• Handle inbound and outbound communications with users and internal teams to gather issue details, share updates, and confirm service completion.

• Install, configure, and maintain workstation equipment and related devices while verifying that systems meet operational specifications.

• Support equipment setup, calibration, and basic testing to confirm reliable performance and readiness for use.

• Track service activity, document troubleshooting steps, and maintain accurate records of schedule adjustments, asset status, and completed work.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to address technical needs involving desktop environments, software systems, and connected equipment.

• Follow workplace safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards when handling devices, work areas, and technical tools.

• Assist with routine troubleshooting that may involve electrical or mechanical components, escalating more complex issues when appropriate

• Experience providing technical support for desktop systems, hardware devices, and common software applications.
• Ability to assess issues quickly, prioritize requests, and perform effective triage in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills for managing inbound and outbound calls and working with users, partners, and support teams.
• Familiarity with scheduling service activities, documenting updates, and maintaining accurate support records.
• Hands-on knowledge of desktop hardware installation, device setup, and basic equipment testing or calibration.
• Understanding of fundamental electrical, mechanical, or related technical concepts applicable to equipment support.
• Comfort working in a call center, help desk, or similar high-volume support setting.
• Basic programming or scripting knowledge is helpful for troubleshooting and system support tasks.
