Position Summary

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading engineering design-build projects from project kickoff through final customer acceptance. This role oversees project scope, schedule, budget, resources, and customer communication while partnering with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, quality, and leadership to deliver successful outcomes.

The ideal candidate is an experienced leader who excels at managing multiple priorities, navigating complex technical projects, and building strong relationships with customers and internal teams.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple engineering and automation projects simultaneously from initiation through completion.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and forecasts.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project performance, proactively identify risks, and implement mitigation plans.
  • Manage project financials including cost tracking, forecasting, and profitability.
  • Lead project meetings and communicate project status to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage scope changes and engineering change notices when required.
  • Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and customer expectations.
  • Drive continuous improvement of project management tools, processes, and best practices.
QualificationsRequired
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of project management experience in automation, engineering, custom equipment manufacturing, or a similar technical environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships across multiple departments.
Preferred
  • PMP Certification.
  • Experience in custom machine building or industrial automation.
  • Experience working within an ISO 9001 quality environment.
  • Strong understanding of engineering processes and integrated manufacturing systems.
