This role focuses on providing delivery and project management and portfolio leadership to enable effective and consistent execution of cybersecurity and fraud initiatives in the Truist Protection Services (TPS) department. This delivery leader:
excels in stakeholder management across security domain teams, portfolio operations, and business partners.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plans, organizes, and controls resources, timelines, and budgets for multiple complex technical projects and programs to ensure successful delivery.
  • Maintains and enforces technical program and project management best practices, templates, standards, and processes across multiple initiatives.
  • Monitors project dependencies and consolidated status across multiple projects, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Provides technical guidance and direction to project teams, ensuring compliance with requirements and quality standards.
  • Conducts comprehensive risk analysis and manages risk mitigation plans to minimize project impact.
  • Executes vendor integration, contract management, and performance evaluation where applicable.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure project objectives align with organizational strategy.
  • Drives continuous improvement in project management processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Guides and may direct the work of lower-level professionals within projects or programs.
  • Ensures quality assurance and compliance with regulatory and organizational standards throughout project lifecycles.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in technical project or program management.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise project and program management methodologies, governance, and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years of project management experience, preferably within a Program or Portfolio Management Office (PMO).
  • 3+ years working in a delivery function within a cybersecurity or security organization, with a strong curiosity and desire to understand the evolving threat landscape.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience using workflow tools such as Rally, JIRA, or GitLab.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience using project management lifecycle tools such as Clarity PPM, Planview, Planisware, ServiceNow, or SAP PPM.
  • Experience leveraging automation / AI tools and AI Prompting, such as Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini in a professional setting.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience designing and developing dashboards using Power BI and/or Power Automate, or comparable reporting tools like Tableau, or HTML presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret business challenges, apply best practices, and improve processes, products, or services. Experience with risk management, issue resolution, business partner influence, difficult negotiations, and delivery against aggressive timelines.
  • Strong understanding of business and technology organizations, priorities, resources, and operating models.
  • Ability to bring clarity, structure, and momentum to ambiguous or loosely defined initiatives.
  • Demonstrated executive-level verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, Project).
