Position Overview

We are seeking an organized, adaptable, and hands-on Project Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of projects within a growing product and manufacturing environment.

This position is responsible for managing projects from initial concept and scoping through execution, testing, and completion. The Project Manager will coordinate across engineering, production, purchasing, customer service, design, outside vendors, and leadership to ensure projects remain organized, on schedule, and aligned with business objectives.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and wants to work in an environment where projects may range from custom customer products and electronics to manufacturing, product development, graphic design, and tabletop gaming.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management & Planning
  • Manage the full project lifecycle, including project intake, scoping, planning, execution, testing, and closeout.

  • Maintain a master project roadmap and track multiple projects against established timelines, priorities, and deliverables.

  • Identify project risks, resource constraints, and potential bottlenecks before they impact deadlines.

  • Provide regular project updates and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.

Customer & Custom Product Projects
  • Serve as the primary project contact for custom customer requests and special-order projects.

  • Translate customer requirements into clear project plans and actionable deliverables.

  • Coordinate internal resources while keeping customers informed throughout the project lifecycle.

Product Development
  • Coordinate product development projects from concept through release.

  • Manage timelines and collaboration among writers, designers, artists, editors, technical teams, and other contributors.

  • Coordinate testing, revisions, approvals, and final project delivery.

Electronics & PCB Projects
  • Coordinate PCB design and layout activities with engineering resources.

  • Manage project handoffs to fabrication and manufacturing vendors.

  • Track fabrication schedules, testing, quality assurance, and project completion.

Manufacturing & Vendor Coordination
  • Manage project timelines for manufactured and injection-molded products.

  • Coordinate tooling, vendors, suppliers, production lead times, minimum order quantities, and quality requirements.

  • Track manufacturing milestones and help resolve issues that could affect production schedules.

Creative & Graphic Design Projects
  • Coordinate packaging, branding, product artwork, and other graphic design projects.

  • Work with internal or contract designers to ensure projects meet production requirements and established timelines.

Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Serve as a central point of coordination between engineering, production, purchasing, customer service, design, vendors, and leadership.

  • Lead project status meetings and ensure stakeholders understand priorities, responsibilities, deadlines, and next steps.

  • Help identify resource needs and resolve issues affecting project execution.

Process Improvement
  • Develop and improve repeatable project management processes, templates, workflows, and tracking tools.

  • Help create greater visibility and accountability across projects.

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency within a small-batch manufacturing and hardware environment.

Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in project management, production coordination, project coordination, or a similar role.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities simultaneously.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to coordinate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.

  • Working knowledge of project management platforms such as Asana, Trello, Monday.com, Smartsheet, or similar tools.

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to read, understand, and track technical specifications without requiring an engineering background.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities and project requirements may evolve.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience or familiarity with electronics manufacturing, PCB fabrication or assembly, or hardware product development.

  • Experience in consumer electronics, retro gaming, or small-batch manufacturing.

  • Exposure to injection molding, tooling, manufacturing vendors, or supplier management.

  • PMP, CAPM, or similar project management certification.

  • Graphic design experience or familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or similar design software.

  • Interest in retro gaming, classic consoles, or related products is a plus.

What Success Looks Like

The successful candidate will be someone who can bring structure to a growing and creative organization without slowing down innovation. You should be comfortable taking ownership, asking questions, solving problems, and learning new areas as projects evolve.

Because the organization is growing, responsibilities may expand over time. Adaptability, resilience, curiosity, and a commitment to continuous learning will be important to long-term success in this position.
