Job description

You're a Project Manager with over 5 years of experience working in multi-disciplinary construction projects with an expertise in mechanical and electrical. You will develop and execute project plans and schedules and ensure the highest safety and quality standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support on MEP systems, coordinate with other disciplines internally as well as externally with consultants and engineering
  • Complete reviews of HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical System design for new construction on Commercial, low and high-rise residential buildings
  • Provide and manage design optimization for Clients
  • Assists with MEP procurement process
  • Prepare and coordinates MEP tender bids and analysis, levels scope of work
  • Prepare and coordinate equipment shop drawing submittal logs and prioritizes long lead equipment delivery items
  • Manages clash detection with MEP and other disciplines
  • Manages change requests from the client due to revised design or scope
  • Reviews and confirms MEP installation is in accordance with plans, specifications, shop drawings, applicable building codes and that quality standards are maintained
  • Reviews and coordinates MEP construction schedule to meet milestones and completion dates
  • Identifies and manages opportunities and risks to achieve the best possible impact on schedule
  • Creates and facilitates the project commissioning program, leads commissioning meetings with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrates leadership in health, safety, and environmental protection on the project. Applies the requirements of the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) to promote overall compliance with Ledcor HS&E standards, applicable OH&S Acts, regulations and codes with all employees and subcontractors on the project

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of related work experience as a Project Manager or in a similar direct managerial/supervisory role
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT, Outlook, Word, Excel & MS project
  • Professional experience on large MEP projects with scope packages
  • Completed post-secondary education in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or trade experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all MEP building systems including controls and operations
  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple stakeholders
  • Self-motivating and ability to multi-task while maintaining a strong attention to detail
  • Good time management skills and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have a valid provincial driver's license

Compensation

$106,650.00 - $142,200.00

This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
