Job Summary:
Origence is a leading fintech company specializing in SaaS lending solutions for Credit Unions across the United States. They are seeking a SAFe® Sr Scrum Master to support Agile teams in achieving excellence through effective coaching, collaboration, and execution of goals.
Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate expert leadership skills by coaching their Agile teams towards improved performance and goal achievement. Help team members self-organize, overcome challenges, and develop a teamwork mindset to elevate performance, drive continuous improvement, and achieve project success.
• Mentor and coach junior members of the Scrum Master team at a strategic level, sharing expertise and insights.
• Cultivate a positive and trusting team environment, demonstrating collaboration and openness for addressing challenges without fear of blame or judgment. Build strong relationships with team members, manage expectations, and resolve conflicts. Champion collaboration across teams, ART and Solution.
• Support multiple Agile teams on day-to-day operations and organizational procedures including SAFe principles and company policies.
• Collaborate with product owners, development teams, and stakeholders to ensure and drive organizational alignment.
• Manage, escalate, track, and resolve risks, dependencies, impediments, and bottlenecks to achieve team goals. Develop strategies to anticipate and prevent roadblocks. Uses negotiation and problem-solving skills to address complex impediments.
• Ensure transparency by staying updated on team backlogs and team deliverables.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of SAFe with the ability to problem solve complex situations. Proactively work with Release Train Engineer and other stakeholders to improve the ART and overall SAFe transformation.
• Masterfully facilitate various team events by adapting approaches for different team dynamics, ensuring they are time-boxed, and agendas are adhered to. Effectively guide team discussions to draws out active participation and problem solving by all team members. This includes DSU, Iteration Planning, Review, Retrospectives, Refinement, team formation workshops and any other necessary collaboration or working sessions.
• Facilitate breakouts during Program Increment Planning Events, system demos, and proactively problem-solve during Inspect & Adapt ceremonies.
• Attend Solution and ART level events, representing the team and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
• Lead the development of retrospective improvement roadmaps by conducting in-depth analysis of team activities and actions.
• Take ownership of team metrics and dashboards, consistently monitoring, analyzing, and working with the team to improve team’s performance. Proactively identify and create new reports and dashboards to support team needs. Identify trends, correlations and potential risks to team performance and predict areas for improvement before they become critical issues.
• Take ownership of maintaining data quality and integrity in Azure DevOps for lower-level work items (User Stories, Tech Stories, Spikes, Bugs, and improvement items) as part of team responsibilities.
• Lead Deployment Management responsibilities including taking charge of product deployment coordination, providing clear communication on schedules and status updates, and ensuring data quality and integrity in the Confluence Deployment Management space.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, related field, or the equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a software development environment, with a focus on Agile methodologies.
• Knowledgeable and passionate about agile principles and practices, with a deep understanding of the SAFe methodology.
• Proven experience in preparing, planning, training, and coaching multiple teams.
• Demonstrated use of agile metrics for team health and performance.
• Practical experience guiding Agile teams.
• Proficient in using Azure DevOps and facilitation software (e.g., Miro, Lucid Spark, or Mural).
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Azure DevOps, and Confluence, with a strong understanding of program/project management software.
• Extensive experience in B2B and B2C software technology, financial services, lending, automotive industries, and credit unions.
• Proven track record of facilitating productive meetings.
• In-depth experience with PI planning format and structure.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build working relationships with team members, stakeholders, and customers.
• Exceptional facilitation and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
