The Program Manager will focus on the overall planning, direction and success of major programs, systems development efforts, and research or technology initiatives which have great significance to the activities and agency's needs. Programs are typically large, multi-year efforts divided into several sub-programs/tasks. The Program Manager will be responsible for the overall program definition, organization, and direction of short- and long-range plans. This includes the responsibility for formulating, guiding, and directing the technical approach; and defining and negotiating with activity and agency personnel for necessary resources. Establishment and control of technical milestones, schedules, budgets and costs are also essential tasks for the Program Manager. Manage financial and funding statuses. In addition, the Program Manager shall support Public Affairs requirements which include writing and reviewing documents for public release, coordinating Public Affairs requirements with high headquarters, ensuring all websites have current data listed. The Program Manager shall assist in the coordination of official events and visits, visit requests and event set-up, this includes coordinating official functions including high profile visits, Program Reviews, All Hands, Change of Commands, Award Ceremonies, and Retirement Ceremonies. Requirements * Master's degree in any technical or managerial discipline. * 10+ years' experience of in-depth specialized knowledge in a related field. * Experience in related business management or finance field, or a minimum of 10 years of experience of in-depth specialized knowledge with DoD/DON programs. Industry or Government technical management, and Industry or Government business management experience. Project Management Professional (PMP) or DAWIA III in Program Management. Experience working in a program office or PEO at a Navy Systems Command. * Active Secret security clearance. The anticipated salary range for this position is $130,000 to $160,000.
