Job description

Expedia Group brands power global travel for everyone, everywhere. We design cutting-edge tech to make travel smoother and more memorable, and we create groundbreaking solutions for our partners. Our diverse, vibrant, and welcoming community is essential in driving our success.

Why Join Us?

To shape the future of travel, people must come first. Guided by our Values and Leadership Agreements, we foster an open culture where everyone belongs, differences are celebrated and know that when one of us wins, we all win.

We provide a full benefits package, including exciting travel perks, generous time-off, parental leave, a flexible work model (with some pretty cool offices), and career development resources, all to fuel our employees' passion for travel and ensure a rewarding career journey. We're building a more open world. Join us.

In this role, you will:

  • Define and evolve the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Autonomous Operations capabilities that improve reliability, reduce manual intervention, and optimize operational efficiency across Expedia Group's platforms.

  • Translate complex operational and technical problems into clear product requirements, user stories, and success metrics for engineering, data, and operations partners, ensuring outcomes are measurable and aligned to business goals.

  • Partner closely with engineering to design, validate, and deliver automation products and services, including system design inputs, API contracts, data modeling needs, and integration patterns required for scalable, resilient solutions.

  • Use data-driven insights from monitoring, telemetry, incident patterns, and customer/partner feedback to prioritize a backlog that increases self-healing, proactive detection, and endtoend observability in production environments.

  • Collaborate across multiple domains and platforms (e.g., infrastructure, core services, applications, tooling) to ensure Autonomous Operations capabilities are reusable, extensible, and fungible across different technical and business contexts.

  • Incorporate AIdriven and MLenabled capabilities into Autonomous Operations workflows where appropriate, including familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products, while safely integrating and operating AI/MLenabled solutions that improve operational outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience in building and delivering technical products.

  • Product management experience driving delivery of platform, infrastructure, or operations-focused products in partnership with software engineering, data, or SRE/operations teams, including defining strategy and roadmaps for AI- or automation-heavy platforms (e.g., agentic SDLC, autonomous supply/management) and translating trust and governance needs into concrete capabilities and metrics.

  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional platform programs spanning multiple teams (e.g., connectivity, platform, content, contracting, analytics), managing piloting and GA phases, and driving adoption with both external partners and internal engineering teams.

  • Strong data- and outcome-driven product management approach, with experience defining and tracking success metrics (such as supply uplift, case reduction, time-to-live, quality scores, PR idle time, AI cost efficiency) and using them to prioritize, iterate, and clearly communicate impact.

  • Demonstrated ability to define product requirements, work with engineering on system and API design trade-offs, and ship iterative releases that improve availability, performance, or operational efficiency in complex technical environments, with familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products within operational or platform contexts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading product strategy for automation, observability, SRE, or operations platforms in large-scale, distributed systems environments, including setting multirelease roadmaps and aligning multiple teams to shared outcomes.

  • Depth in collaborating with engineering on technical design decisions, including system design, low-level design, API design, and data modeling for highreliability, highthroughput platforms, and driving architectural evolution over time.

  • Demonstrated ability to safely integrate and operate AI/MLenabled solutions that improve detection, triage, remediation, or optimization in production operations, including understanding of model lifecycle, guardrails, and monitoring.

  • Strong history of making data-informed product decisions using telemetry, incident and problem-management data, experimentation, and A/B testing to guide investments in autonomous capabilities and continuous improvement.

  • Demonstrated experience taking products from concept to scaled adoption, particularly for technical or platform products used by internal developers, SREs, or operations teams, including driving change management, documentation, and training for new automation and AIassisted workflows.
