What You Will Be Doing
The Web Development Manager leads and oversees the development, performance, and ongoing maintenance of all company websites and web applications�including the Club portal, marketing portal, mini vac and tour web applications, and other web applications. This role is responsible for managing the web development team, setting technical standards, and ensuring our web properties are reliable, secure, and built to support business needs. Strong technical, project management, and leadership skills are required to deliver seamless, high-performing web experiences for owners, guests, and prospects.
Website Strategy & Development
  • Lead and oversee the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of all company websites and web applications.
  • Manage the roadmap and prioritization for the Club portal, marketing portal, mini vac and tour web applications, and other web applications, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Partner with internal teams and external developers/vendors to plan, scope, and deliver new web features, integrations, and enhancements.
  • Establish and maintain web development standards, coding best practices, QA processes, and release procedures to ensure quality and minimize downtime.
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools, platforms, and technologies to improve web functionality and the overall user experience.
Web Application Management & Maintenance
  • Serve as the primary owner for the Club portal, marketing portal, mini vac and tour web applications, and other web applications, ensuring functionality meets business and user needs.
  • Oversee site performance, uptime, security, and user experience across all web properties, ensuring a consistent, on-brand experience.
  • Coordinate enhancements, bug fixes, patches, and upgrades across all web applications, balancing business priorities with technical feasibility.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot website and application issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to users.
  • Manage hosting, domains, integrations, and other technical infrastructure supporting the company's web properties.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with IT, Sales, Marketing, and Owner Services teams to gather requirements and translate them into functional web solutions.
  • Act as a key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating business needs into web development priorities.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies, developers, and vendors supporting web development initiatives.
Leadership & Reporting
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of web developers, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
  • Generate regular reporting on website and application performance, project status, and technical issues for senior management.
  • Present recommendations, project updates, and technical insights to leadership teams.
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in web development, with prior leadership or team management experience preferred.
  • Strong experience managing websites and web applications, including content management systems, front-end and back-end development, and UX/UI best practices.
  • Working knowledge of web development languages and frameworks, hosting environments, and web security best practices.
  • Experience with project management, QA processes, and vendor/agency management.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience in the timeshare, vacation ownership, hospitality, or travel industry is a plus.
