We are seeking an experienced Technical Support Specialist to serve as the on-site technology lead for a long-standing K-12 account in Springfield, MO. This highly visible role is responsible for supporting and managing technology services across the food service department at Springfield Public Schools, including more than 50 school sites, 200+ POS systems, manager computers, tablets, handheld devices, and related technology resources.

Working collaboratively with District IT, operational management, site supervisors, and kitchen leads, this individual will support a broad technology environment that includes enterprise networking, Wi-Fi, IP television, POS systems, and end-user computing devices. The role requires strong technical expertise, operational leadership, and a customer-focused mindset.

This position serves as the primary on-site point of contact for technology and data compliance matters, providing end-to-end support, accountability, and escalation management across the operation.

Job Responsibilities
  • Serve as the site Technology & Data Compliance lead, accountable for the availability, performance, and reliability of all technology services.
  • Provide day-to-day support for POS systems, manager computers, tablets, Chromebooks, handheld devices, and associated peripherals.
  • Support and maintain network infrastructure, Wi-Fi, telecom services, and other critical business applications.
  • Partner with District IT, vendors, and service providers to ensure seamless delivery of technology services.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for technology-related issues and drive timely resolution.
  • Perform system monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Maintain technology inventory and coordinate device replacement and lifecycle planning.
  • Support application interfaces, customizations, upgrades, testing, and implementation of system enhancements.
  • Analyze business needs, identify process improvements, and recommend technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Review and validate site reports to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Perform data entry, validation, and reporting related to daily sales, cashier activity, and operational metrics.
  • Help maintain compliance with USDA programs and internal data compliance standards.
  • Communicate system changes, upgrades, and enhancements to District IT and site users.
  • Provide technical support and training to operational teams and end users.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure service levels are met and business disruption is minimized.
  • Support geographically dispersed school sites and travel between locations as needed.
  • Supervise Aramark team members as required and provide hands-on support when necessary.
Qualifications
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts, Wi-Fi, and telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, customer service, and project management skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong service mindset with a commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
  • Experience supporting POS systems, end-user devices, and business applications.
  • Experience with hospitality, food service, or customer-facing technologies preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across a large, geographically dispersed operation.
  • Valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and insurance required. Must be able to travel between the office and approximately 50+ school sites (mileage reimbursed).
