Job description

TITLE: Maintenance ManagerLOCATION: On-Site, Avon, OHCOMP RANGE: $ 103,000 - 137,000/year Custom Culinary, a subsidiary of Griffith Foods, is hiring a Maintenance Manager to be responsible maintenance operations within Custom Culinary's food manufacturing facility, ensuring equipment reliability, regulatory compliance, and uninterrupted production. This role leads a team of skilled technicians to execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs that support safety, quality, and operational efficiency. The Maintenance Manager partners closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Safety teams to drive continuous improvement, minimize downtime, and maintain a clean, safe, and audit-ready environment.As a Maintenance Manager your responsibilities will include: Supervise maintenance personnel and set priorities for maintenance schedules.Plan and execute capital expenditure projects.Develop and manage maintenance procedures for production lines in a food manufacturing environment to meet or exceed budgeted performance.Maintain facility and manufacturing assets, oversee parts inventory, and manage spending, purchase orders, and invoice approvals.Establish and manage the departmental budget by reviewing financial statements and monitoring efficiencies, labor costs, and other expenses.Lead, train, and develop maintenance staff while setting clear direction and performance expectations.Conduct formal performance evaluations twice per year with ongoing feedback throughout the year.Ensure technical quality of maintenance work and hold team members accountable to established standards.Drive Maintenance, Reliability, and TPM initiatives with a focus on preventive and predictive maintenance.Coordinate and oversee work performed by outside contractors, ensuring safety and effective project management.The Maintenance Manager position may be right for you if you: Act with urgency and accountabilityTake prompt action to address issues to minimize downtime and support uninterrupted production.Enjoy providing leadership, coaching and day-to-day guidance to a team.Find success in using a disciplined, data-driven approach to troubleshooting and continuous improvement.Qualified candidates will have: Strong Technical & Maintenance Expertise (Hands On + Systems Knowledge)Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experienceWorking knowledge of national, state, and local regulatory requirements in the areas of food safety, safety, environment and emergency management.This role is deeply technical. The manager must understand:Electrical, mechanical, lubrication, and automation/PLC systemsPreventive & predictive maintenanceMaintenance procedures for production lines in a food manufacturing environmentCMMS usage and asset managementBachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or Facilities Management7+ years' experience in a similar managerial maintenance role, with strong technical, mechanical, maintenance and/or engineering experienceCandidates must currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role. What will set you apart: TPM and Autonomous Maintenance experience is highly desiredExperience with Lean or Six Sigma highly desiredWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand and walk to communicate and listen effectively.
