Job Description

This role focuses on installing racking reinforcement components on existing commercial solar arrays, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient system performance. You will work hands-on with solar equipment and tools in rooftop environments, contributing directly to the long-term stability of photovoltaic installations.

Responsibilities

• Install racking reinforcement components on existing commercial solar arrays according to project specifications and safety standards.
• Use power tools and related equipment to perform precise, secure installations on rooftop solar systems.
• Perform basic troubleshooting on commercial solar installations to identify issues with racking or related components.
• Conduct diagnostic testing on solar arrays to verify structural integrity and proper operation after reinforcement work.
• Follow established installation procedures and quality guidelines to maintain consistency across multiple commercial projects.
• Collaborate with team members on-site to plan work, coordinate tasks, and complete projects efficiently.
• Adhere to all safety protocols when working on rooftops, including proper use of fall protection and personal protective equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure tools and materials are properly handled and stored after each shift.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on installation experience, ideally in a commercial solar or construction environment.
• Proficiency using power tools safely and effectively in rooftop and field conditions.
• Knowledge of commercial solar systems and racking components.
• Ability to perform troubleshooting and diagnostic testing on photovoltaic installations.
• Experience as a solar technician with experience in PV commercial projects.
• Comfort working at heights and on rooftops for the duration of the shift.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working on rooftop commercial solar projects.
• Familiarity with GTW and related commercial solar terminology or processes.
• Ability to read and follow installation instructions, diagrams, and basic technical documentation.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills for coordinating with on-site crews.
• Reliable work habits and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Work Environment

This position is based on rooftop commercial solar projects, requiring comfort working at heights and outdoors for the full shift. You will regularly use power tools and solar-specific equipment in a construction-style setting, following strict safety procedures and using appropriate personal protective equipment. The environment is fast-paced and hands-on, with work performed on existing solar arrays in varying weather conditions.

This is a Contract position based out of Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Rancho Cucamonga,CA.
