In the role of Technical Accounting and Policies Manager at Micron, you will be pivotal in ensuring flawless financial integrity and regulatory alignment. This is an outstanding opportunity to join an exceptional team that fuels Micron's ambitious growth and success!

What you will be responsible for:

Serve as Micron's technical accounting expert by proactively evaluating complex transactions and providing accounting mentorship and disclosure recommendations, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and interpret accounting guidance, consult with external experts as needed, and prepare or review technical accounting memos for complex transactions.

  • Monitor FASB and SEC pronouncements and update accounting policies and position papers to reflect new guidance and evolving industry practices.

  • Support SEC reporting requirements by drafting or reviewing disclosures and assisting with FASB/SEC comment letter responses for executive review.

  • Partner with Finance and cross-functional teams to implement accounting for complex transactions, new activities, and new standards, including delivering a technical accounting update and training program.

  • Partner with internal and external auditors to support timely quarterly reviews and annual audits, and perform other related duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Active CPA (or equivalent qualification).

  • 8+ years of public accounting and/or related industry experience.

  • 5+ years in technical accounting with proficiency across multiple areas of U.S. GAAP.

  • Ability to research, interpret, apply, and communicate complex accounting guidance clearly to stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with high-growth manufacturing and/or semiconductor companies.

  • Strong prioritization and responsiveness, with the ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated process improvement mindset, including identifying opportunities and driving practical changes.

  • Experience operating effectively in a rapidly growing organization.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$113,000.00 - $254,000.00 a year

Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations.Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
