Job description

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position:
This vacancy is Engineering Technician position, GS-0802-07/08/09 with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Little Rock District located at Little Rock, Arkansas. This position will be filled at either GS-07, GS-08 or GS-09 grade level.Qualifications:Who May Apply: US Citizens
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document.
Specialized Experience:
Specialized Experience for GS-07: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes entering technical data into logs, spreadsheets, or databases. This includes performing basic checks of data for completeness and obvious errors including organizing records as directed. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Specialized Experience for GS-08: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes performing technical work in Computer-Aided Design and Drafting software (CADD: AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D) or Building Information Modeling processes (BIM: Revit) to complete assigned segments of engineering project designs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
Specialized Experience for GS-09: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-08 grade level in the Federal service which includes independently performing technical work with Computer-Aided Design and Drafting software (CADD: AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D), and Building Information Modeling processes (BIM: Revit) in the development and submission of design of basic military and civil works building and infrastructure systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08).Education:Employment Type: OTHER
