Job description

Agile Trainer - Expert - #902

Clearance Required:  TS/SCI

Position Overview

The Expert Agile Trainer serves as the principal educational authority, enterprise coach, and curriculum architect for Agile methodologies and mission-critical training programs across the contract in direct support of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC). Operating with high-level autonomy, this role is embedded within the Group while providing cross-functional training enablement to the Group, Persistent Infrared (PIR) Enterprise Platform teams, and global exploitation forces.

The Expert Trainer orchestrates enterprise-wide Agile adoption strategies across the NASIC Unified Cloud (NUC) software ecosystem, shapes specialized intelligence analytical training pipelines, tracks center-wide training readiness, and removes systemic organizational bottlenecks to maximize mission velocity. This position will be allowed to perform some duties remotely, but the expectation is that the successful candidate resides in the Dayton, OH area and will travel frequently to the customer site to perform these duties.

Core Responsibilities

  • Enterprise Agile Coaching & Mentorship: Educates, mentors, and pairs with software developers, Government Product Owners, and senior intelligence stakeholders on pure Agile Scrum and Kanban methodologies. Guides high-profile sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups to optimize software factory velocity.
  • Agile Posture Assessment & Reporting: Authors and delivers the formal monthly Agile Process Posture Report directly to NASIC/A9 leadership, systematically detailing the empirical progress of enterprise Agile adoption and prescribing future strategic training roadmaps.
  • Specialized Intelligence Curriculum Development: Partners with subject matter experts to design, build, and implement highly specialized, phenomenology-based Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) advanced target analytical training curricula for active use by NASIC/GSPM analysts.
  • Advanced Tool & PAI Integration Training: Guides the official integration of open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools into formal training frameworks, advises technical teams on the operational validation of Publicly Available Information (PAI) feeds, and synthesizes user-perspective feedback to steer software developers.
  • Mission Readiness Tracking & Training Management: Coordinates center-wide mission operations, programmatically tracks training readiness metrics across teams, and manages training management workflows integrated within the enterprise ServiceNow framework.
  • Operational Enablement & Strategic Training Coordination: Serves as the primary Training Manager to design, manage, and execute comprehensive mission training objectives that structurally improve the administration, lifecycle management, and day-to-day operations of multi-domain security organizations.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree plus 18 years of experience, or a Master's degree plus 15 years of experience in Government Program Management, Agile Coaching, Educational Architecture, Instructional Design, or a closely related defense/intelligence field.
  • Agile Leadership & Certification: Proven track record of leading enterprise-scale Agile transformation tasks independent of supervisory guidance. Must possess an advanced, top-tier industry certification (e.g., Certified Agile Coach (CAC), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or PMI-ACP).
  • DoD/IC Instructional Standards: Extensive experience authoring technical briefs, course materials, and technical training specifications strictly aligned with DoD, IC, and United States Air Force instruction standards.
  • Security Clearance: Must possess an active, verified TS/SCI security clearance to deliver 100% on-site training support within secure NASIC facilities at Wright-Patterson AFB.

Desired:

  • NASIC Experience: NASIC experience highly desired, not mandatory.
  • Advanced Domain Familiarity: Direct experience working inside Vendor or related vendor ecosystems, or deep technical familiarity with the NSG Tasking, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TPED) framework.
  • Technical System Engineering Awareness: Understanding of cloud computing architectures, cloud-native software factories, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts to effectively coach technical teams.
