We are seeking a versatile and dynamic Digital Journalist to drive fast-paced news coverage across our digital, streaming, social, and broadcast platforms. In this hands-on role, you will report breaking news live, produce video content, track real-time analytics, and craft compelling stories for a digital-first audience. If you thrive under pressure, possess sharp editorial judgment, and bring both camera and production skills to the table, we want you on our team.

Responsibilities

  • Live & Multi-Platform Reporting: Gather, produce, and present original breaking news and major event coverage live across digital, social, streaming, and broadcast channels.
  • Content & Technical Production: Direct and execute live video production, including video switching, real-time graphics insertion, and monitoring live video feeds.
  • Interviewing & Sourcing: Conduct in-person live interviews and coordinate remote guests via video conferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom).
  • Editorial & Planning: Pitch original story ideas, contribute to daily editorial meetings, assist with long-term coverage planning, and edit/produce content for peer Digital Journalists.
  • News Monitoring & Analytics: Track newsgathering tools, wire services, and social channels for developing stories while leveraging real-time digital analytics to inform coverage strategy.
  • Ethics & Standards: Maintain strict adherence to organizational journalistic ethics, accuracy, and editorial standards.

Qualifications

  • Industry Experience: Proven track record of developing and publishing original news content specifically optimized for digital platforms.
  • Editorial & Communication Skills: Exceptional news judgment, AP-style writing, and meticulous copy-editing skills under tight daily deadlines.
