Onsite Job - Configuration Management Specialist Level 3

Work Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Shift: First (7:00 AM 4:30 PM)

Job Description:

Collaborates with teams in the development, analysis, management, and compliance verification of process and product baselines of complex products. Defines, plans, coordinates, and conducts product and subsystem-level technical design reviews and audits for new and derivative products. Analyzes complex product trades and changes and develops technically complete change proposals. Contributes to the development and implementation of Configuration and Data Management standards, processes, and tools. Defines and allocates Configuration and Data Management requirements for product hardware, software, and engineering design data systems throughout the product lifecycle. Coordinates the integration of product elements and analyzes and resolves issues with engineering product structure. Develops, integrates, and implements engineering technical program plans, including impacts, risks, and lessons learned spanning multiple engineering functions. Works under general direction.

This program is an engine replacement initiative involving the integration of modern engine technology into an existing aircraft platform. The effort includes adapting current engine systems into a legacy aircraft architecture. The engine provides thrust, bleed air for aircraft cooling, hydraulic power for flight control surfaces, electrical power for onboard electronics, and cockpit engine controls.

Configuration Management Specialists support engineering teams by ensuring compliance with military configuration management requirements. Responsibilities include defining configuration processes, organizing engineering drawing structures, supporting modification planning, and managing configuration documentation throughout the program lifecycle.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to organize and prioritize technical issues.

  • Experience planning tasks and developing execution plans.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate technical plans effectively.

  • Knowledge of military configuration management rules.

  • Configuration Management experience.

  • Experience with EIA-649-1.

  • Experience with change and variance management processing.

  • Experience creating and updating Configuration Status Accounting (CSA).

  • Experience with A.C.N. management and tracking.

Education / Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master + 3 years' related work experience).
