Job description

The Technical Sales Associate (TSA) will work with new leads, lower market share customers, and neglected accounts for component and value-added services growth. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn about our products, industry, and sales techniques while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced technical sales environment. The TSA provides support for fluid power and/or automation and/or motion control products in a hybrid role of outside sales for key accounts and development accounts. The position reports to Sales Analyst & Business Development Manager.


Responsibilities:
  • Qualify New leads and inquiries and perform follow-up
  • Spend a minimum of one day per week visiting customers and prospects in the designated territory
  • Handle New customer/Prospect Welcome outreach via phone/email
  • Proficiently learn and use HubSpot for campaigns and lead information
  • Reach out to neglected accounts (Phone/Email) to create touches to generate activity
  • Handle key account assignments to maintain existing relationships and identify new growth opportunities
  • Engage current users to expand awareness, educate, identify new opportunities, and develop account intelligence
  • Research potential clients. Connect with and educate prospects and qualify leads
  • Respond to customer inquiries pertaining to products, services, prices, availability, and/or order status via email, phone and website
  • Assist and advise customers in the selection of the appropriate product(s) and/or service(s) based upon the customer’s requirements
  • Engage vendors to collaborate on customer opportunities and joint sales call activity
  • Prepare quotations, process orders and manage existing orders on the online platform first and foremost and internal business systems only when necessary
  • Work with all other departments to coordinate and ensure customer requirements, and expectations are fulfilled, and conflicts are resolved to the satisfaction of the customer
  • Make pricing decisions on demand when communicating with customers; responsible for communicating with pricing teams to maintain accurate information within each customer account in the business system
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as directed by management and as listed in SOP


Requirements:
  • A curious, hungry nature
  • BSME or BSEE engineering degree is preferred
  • Experience utilizing computer software including Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
