About the Role

Designs, develops, and delivers technical training programs and supporting materials for customers, service centers, and internal personnel. Collaborates with customer and cross-functional teams to define training objectives, course content, and learning outcomes aligned with operational and business needs.

Translates engineering documentation, field service requirements, and software updates into structured lesson plans, hands-on exercises, and instructional materials. Ensures all training content remains current with product features, system configurations, and service procedures.

Facilitates engaging learning experiences through instructor-led classroom sessions, virtual delivery, and hands-on laboratory training. Evaluates training effectiveness through assessments, learner feedback, and post-training follow-up, continuously improving course content to ensure applicability and impact in real-world maintenance environments

Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver instructor-led EO/IR maintenance training (basic and advanced intermediate levels) to global customers, service centers, and internal personnel, ensuring high-quality, consistent learning experiences
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for intermediate Basic and Advanced level maintenance, providing technical guidance, knowledge transfer, and mentorship to training team members and internal stakeholders
  • Design, develop, and continuously improve maintenance training programs, including course content, hands-on exercises, and supporting materials aligned to current product
  • Develop and maintain training assessments, evaluations, and validation tools;
    analyze learner feedback and performance data to enhance training effectiveness and outcomes
  • Provide technical leadership in the development and standardization of troubleshooting methodologies for EO/IR systems
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Field Service, and Technical Publications to ensure training content reflects current system design, service procedures, and operational requirements
  • Support factory repair and maintenance activities as required, maintaining hands-on technical proficiency and real-world system knowledge
  • Support the development, review, and validation of service manuals and maintenance procedures, including participation in New Product Introduction (NPI) activities
  • Travel domestically and internationally 30-60% to support training delivery, customer engagements and field support activities

  • Extensive experience working with complex, integrated systems in an engineering, field service, or maintenance capacity
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues, and to translate that knowledge into structured training and standardized troubleshooting methodologies
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 30โ€“60%) to support training delivery and customer engagements
  • Ability to meet Controlled Goods requirements and obtain and maintain applicable security clearances
  • Demonstrated proficiency in a relevant technical discipline, with hands-on experience supporting, maintaining, or troubleshooting complex integrated systems
  • Formal training certification (e.G., instructional techniques or adult education) or equivalent experience delivering technical training in a professional environment
  • Experience designing, developing, and delivering technical training programs, including curriculum development, hands-on exercises, and learner assessments
  • Working knowledge of eLearning principles, tools, and blended learning approaches
  • Familiarity with government and defense training standards (e.G., MIL-STDs, UK MoD specifications) is considered an asset
  • Experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of integrated electro-optical, electronic, or electro-mechanical systems is an asset
  • Multilingual capability is considered an asset
