Salary: $155,000-$165,000
Work location: Hybrid, Atlanta, GA.
  • Provide technical leadership for a federal portfolio that includes multiple web, data, and integration solutions built on Microsoft and cloud technologies.
  • Lead design and implementation approaches that use Git-based repositories (such as GitHub), branching strategies, and pull-request workflows as the core way teams collaborate.
  • Define and guide CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or comparable platforms to automate build, test, and deployment of application and infrastructure changes.
  • Work with engineers to integrate security and quality checks into pipelines, including static analysis, dependency scanning, and basic dynamic testing using industry-standard tools.
  • Shape technical approaches for application modernization and integration, including API-based interfaces, data services, and cloud-hosted components (for example in Azure or AWS).
  • Provide technical direction on environment strategy (dev/test/stage/prod), configuration management, and automated deployment patterns.
  • Collaborate with program leadership to evaluate solution options, estimate technical effort, and communicate trade-offs in terms that business and mission stakeholders can understand.
  • Ensure solutions are designed and implemented to meet security, privacy, accessibility, and operational expectations common to federal programs.

Requirements
  • US Citizenship required
  • 10+ years in solution architecture, software engineering, or systems engineering, with significant experience leading technical design and implementation.
  • 5+ years leading technical teams supporting enterprise applications, modernization, or cloud-based delivery in federal or similarly regulated environments.
  • Experience leading teams that use Git-based source control and CI/CD tooling to deliver software in structured development environments.
  • Experience designing or overseeing application modernization efforts that include refactoring existing systems, adding APIs, and integrating with enterprise or cloud services.
  • Experience in secure software delivery, including integrating security and quality checks into automated pipelines and release workflows.
  • Experience communicating technical direction, constraints, and tradeoffs to both engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders.
  • One current technical certification in cloud, architecture, security, or agile delivery.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field

Desired Qualification:
  • Experience designing or operating CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps Pipelines.
  • Experience integrating static code analysis, dependency scanning, and dynamic testing tools into automated delivery pipelines.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform, ARM/Bicep, or similar approaches for automated environment provisioning.
  • Experience delivering solutions on Azure and/or AWS using APIs, containers, serverless services, or managed data services.
  • Experience supporting data-heavy, analytics-driven, or health-related applications in public sector environments.
  • At least one current cloud certification at the associate or professional level (for example, Azure Administrator/Developer/Architect or AWS Architect/Developer/Engineer).
  • At least one certification related to software engineering, architecture, security, or DevOps/DevSecOps (for example, vendor DevOps/DevSecOps cert, CISSP/CCSP, or similar).
  • Master's degree in a related field

Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
The salary range for this position depends upon multiple factors including location, the individual's knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, and contract-specific budget constraints and organizational requirements.
