Responsibilities
  • Designs Transportation, Structural, Green and General Infrastructure, Streets, Traffic Improvements and Storm Drainage.
  • Applies the standards of the City/County and utilizes Civil 3D to create pipe networks, profile views, and set up plan sheets. 
  • Prepares and reviews environmental reports for residential and commercial development projects.
  • Collaborates with the team to prepare and review rough grading plans, precise grading and drainage plans.
  • Designs, prepares and reviews street light plans, and signing and striping plans. In addition, prepares and reviews roadway improvement plans and other public improvement plans.
  • Designs and reviews retaining wall, footing, and other misc. structures. 
  • Estimates project costs by calculating project construction quantities andresearching their unit cost.
  • This role is a mix of office/field exposure with our clients and working with our other engineering disciplines.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering field

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid California Driver's license at the time of hire
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Training (EIT) 

The pay range for this California position is $42.00- $45.00 per hour; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per California Senate Bill 1162. Base pay information is based on market location. Applicants should apply via the NV5 careers site.
