This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Shift: 06:30 AM - 03:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch. End times may vary depending on procedures, 5 days a week.
Job Description
Surgical Technologists are responsible for preparing the operating room, including the sterile field, setting up surgical equipment, supplies, and solutions. They assist during surgeries by passing instruments, fluids, and supplies to the surgeon while managing surgical equipment and the sterile field simultaneously. They also perform counts of sponges and supplies to prevent retained foreign objects.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage surgical equipment, supplies, and the sterile field.
  • Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by providing instruments and materials.
  • Perform counts of sponges and supplies to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized operating room environment.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in surgical technology, including prior travel experience.
  • Certification required: BLS.
