Job description

Certified Surgical Technologist - Days Shift

The Surgical Technologist prepares the necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies during surgeries while maintaining a sterile environment. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of surgical procedures to effectively anticipate the needs of the surgeon.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare surgical instruments and equipment for each procedure.
  • Ensure the sterile field is maintained throughout the surgery.
  • Assist the surgeon by anticipating their needs during procedures.
  • Document within electronic medical records as required.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program recognized by CAAHEP or ABHES, or certification from the NBSTA.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and electronic medical records documentation is preferred.
Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
