Job description

Job Summary:
Under the leadership of the supervisor or manager, to ensure the linen carts are stocked as designated and delivered to the patient care unit in a timely manner. Remove soiled linen from linen chutes and transport to the holding area. Appropriately communicate and interact with the patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs.
Performance Expectations:
  • Demonstrate the ability to stock and deliver to the patient care unit in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate the ability to remove soiled linen from linen chutes and transport to the holding area.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with the patients, families, and visitors.

Qualifications:
Education/Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Work Experience:
One year of previous work experience. Previous experience in laundry is helpful.
Mental Demands:
Ability to perform repetitive tasks, accept disrupting work flow, take verbal/written instructions and follow them precisely, demonstrate cooperativeness, good judgment, initiative, ability to relate well to other people, work without close supervision, good positive attitude with other employees.
