RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an IT Security Analyst for a remote role. This schedule is rotating on-call support (approximately every 13 weeks).
Summary:
Our client is seeking an IT Security Analyst to help maintain a secure computing environment and protect critical information assets from internal and external threats. This role will focus on monitoring security platforms, investigating alerts, supporting incident response efforts, and helping drive remediation activities.
Responsibilities:
* Monitor and analyze security events across SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, packet capture tools, and other security platforms
* Assess and prioritize security alerts, anomalies, and potential threats
* Investigate security incidents and participate in root cause analysis
* Coordinate remediation efforts and follow-up activities
* Develop reports and documentation on security findings and high-impact issues
* Stay current on emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends
* Research security risks related to healthcare technologies and medical devices
* Serve as a subject matter expert for security analysis processes
* Participate in an on-call rotation
REQUIREMENTS:
* High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
* 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a related field
* Experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewall technologies, and security monitoring tools
* Security Operations Center (SOC) experience
* Experience supporting healthcare or regulated environments
* Familiarity with open-source security tools and threat analysis
* Knowledge of HIPAA, ePHI, HITRUST, ISO, and NIST security frameworks
* Knowledge of current threat intelligence and cybersecurity best practices
* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and incident response skills
* Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
