Position Overview

We are seeking a driven and tech-savvy Information Technology Intern to support our IT team in maintaining and enhancing technology systems that power critical energy operations. This internship offers hands-on experience across infrastructure, cybersecurity, help desk support, and enterprise systems within a highly regulated industry.

This role is ideal for students interested in applying their technical knowledge in a real-world, mission-critical environment.


  • Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues (help desk tickets)
  • Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of laptops, desktops, and mobile devices
  • Support user account management (Active Directory, password resets, access provisioning)
  • Help monitor system performance and troubleshoot network connectivity issues
  • Assist with cybersecurity initiatives (phishing simulations, patching, endpoint protection)
  • Participate in IT projects such as system upgrades, cloud migrations, or infrastructure improvements
  • Document processes, procedures, and technical configurations
  • Support IT asset inventory and lifecycle management
  • Employee may be required to visit job sites, field offices, and customer locations

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs)
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office 365
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Hands-on experience supporting enterprise IT systems in a critical infrastructure industry
  • Exposure to cybersecurity, networking, and cloud technologies
  • Mentorship from experienced IT professionals
