Seeking a confident, self-starter to assist our technology department in keeping our nationally recognized Architecture & Engineering firm running.  The IT Support Specialist candidate we seek must be highly motivated, able to handle multiple tasks efficiently, and detail oriented. Individuals must also have strong organizational and prioritizing skills. The technology staff at APD works closely in a team-based environment to provide solutions for our client-serving staff to operate efficiently. If you can manage your individual responsibilities while working together in a collaborative effort with others - you're the team member we are looking for! This position is ideal for someone early in their IT career who is looking to grow their technical skills while supporting a professional business environment.
Responsibilities Include

Entry-level IT support position with direct interaction with internal architectural and engineering staff.
Create, document, escalate, and resolve internal issues and problems within our networking environment courteously and professionally.
Monitor assigned tickets and tasks and provide service or escalation as necessary.
Provide desktop, software, account management, and basic network support, including user account administration, password resets, email setup, software installation, and related troubleshooting.
Deliver technical support over the phone and in person in our Fairport, NY office.
Perform remote and onsite maintenance and support services.
Support workstation deployments, employee onboarding and offboarding, equipment replacements, technology rollouts, and operational IT projects under the direction of senior IT staff.
May include standing, lifting to 50 lbs., bending, sitting, or twisting.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree, technical training, relevant certifications, or equivalent experience in Information Technology preferred.
Basic understanding of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows networking concepts, and general IT troubleshooting. Exposure to DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, firewalls, or email systems is a plus.
Working knowledge of computer and networking equipment.
Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office products.
Strong troubleshooting skills with Windows workstations and common business software.
Ability to organize, multi-task, and manage & own issues through resolution.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in technical support, customer service, help desk, internships, or similar technical roles is a plus.
Experience creating scripts, automating tasks, or working with basic programming concepts is a plus.
Experience supporting business software, CAD applications, or professional office environments is a plus.
Familiarity with remote support tools, endpoint security software, or basic Linux administration is a plus.
