Can I make 6 figures as a paralegal?

Tech paralegals typically do not earn six-figure salaries, as most paralegal roles have median annual wages below that level. However, with specialized skills, experience, working in high-cost areas, or advancing to senior or managerial positions, some paralegals can approach or exceed six figures. Continuous professional development and certifications like the NALA Certified Paralegal can enhance earning potential.

What is the highest paid paralegal job?

The highest paid paralegal roles are often in corporate law, intellectual property, or securities law, especially for those with specialized skills and certifications. Senior paralegals with extensive experience, advanced certifications, or working in large law firms or corporate legal departments can earn higher salaries, sometimes exceeding $80,000 annually.

Will AI replace paralegals?

AI technology can automate routine tasks performed by tech paralegals, such as document review and data analysis, increasing efficiency. However, the role of a tech paralegal also involves critical thinking, legal research, and client communication, which are less likely to be fully replaced by AI. Human oversight remains essential in ensuring accuracy and compliance in legal work.

How does a Tech Paralegal typically collaborate with attorneys and IT professionals on technology-related legal matters?

As a Tech Paralegal, you will often serve as a bridge between legal teams and IT professionals, assisting attorneys with technology-focused cases such as intellectual property, data privacy, and cybersecurity. Your responsibilities may include managing electronic discovery (e-discovery), reviewing technical documentation, and preparing materials for litigation or compliance. Effective communication and a strong understanding of technical concepts are crucial, as you'll regularly interpret complex IT information for legal teams and ensure that digital evidence is handled securely and accurately. This collaborative environment offers valuable learning opportunities and exposure to both legal and technical career paths.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Tech Paralegal, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Tech Paralegal, you need a solid understanding of legal procedures, strong research abilities, and familiarity with technology-related legal issues, often supported by a paralegal certificate or relevant degree. Proficiency in legal research databases, e-discovery platforms, and document management systems is typically required. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication help Tech Paralegals excel in supporting attorneys and managing complex technical cases. These skills ensure accurate legal support, efficient case management, and effective collaboration in a rapidly evolving legal-technology environment.

Can a paralegal make $100,000?

Tech paralegals can potentially earn $100,000 or more, especially with extensive experience, specialized skills, or working in high-cost-of-living areas. Salaries vary widely based on location, employer, and certifications, with some senior or specialized paralegals reaching six-figure incomes.

What are Tech Paralegals?

Tech Paralegals are legal professionals who specialize in supporting attorneys and legal teams in cases related to technology, such as intellectual property, cybersecurity, data privacy, and software licensing. They assist with tasks like legal research, drafting documents, e-discovery, and managing digital evidence. Tech Paralegals often have expertise in legal technology tools and a solid understanding of technology concepts, enabling them to bridge the gap between complex technical issues and legal requirements. Their role is crucial in law firms, corporate legal departments, and tech companies handling technology-driven legal matters.

Job description

Paralegal – Foreclosure Sales

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL

This isn't an entry-level support role. We're looking for a seasoned Foreclosure Paralegal who knows the full lifecycle of a foreclosure matter inside and out; from initial referral through final judgment and who is ready to bring that expertise to one of Florida's most recognized law firms.

Kelley Kronenberg's Foreclosure practice is one of the most active in the state, and we're growing. If you've built your career in foreclosure, thrive in a high-volume environment, and want the stability of a firm that has been named one of South Florida's Best Places to Work by the Sun-Sentinel, read on.

What Sets This Role Apart
  • Hybrid Flexibility: Work from our Fort Lauderdale headquarters — with a hybrid schedule that respects your life outside work.
  • High-Impact Practice: You'll be a central figure on a busy, collaborative Foreclosure team — not a paper-pusher, but a case driver trusted with complex matters.
  • A Firm That Invests in You: Competitive salary, a comprehensive benefits package, and a culture that prioritizes professional growth and work-life balance.

What You'll Do

As a full lifecycle Foreclosure Paralegal, you will manage cases from referral to resolution, including:

  • Assist in managing foreclosure sale files from inception of sale date through Certificate of Title or Disbursement of Third-Party Funds
  • Assist in completion of foreclosure sale related client systems steps in both BKFS and Tempo.
  • Prepare, review and file Foreclosure Sales legal documents including but not limited to:
    •  Notices of Sale
    •  Submission of Notices of Sale to publisher for publication
    • Remittance of Payment for Notice of Sale publication cost and reconciliation of cost being billed to Client.
    • Affidavits of Post Judgment Advances and Interest a/k/a Affidavit of Additional Sums
    • Motions to Reschedule Foreclosure Sale
    • Certificates of Mailing of Orders
    • Motions to Cancel Foreclosure Sale / Motions to Cancel and Reset Foreclosure Sale
    • Preparation of Sale Packages in preparation of Foreclosure Sale
  • Ensure Notice of Sale Publication is in compliance with F.S. 45.031(2)
  • Ensure Proof of Publication of Notice of Sale is filed timely prior to scheduled sale date
  • Ensure bidding instructions are received from client prior to sale and all escalations measures are taken as needed.

Qualilfications
  • Full Lifecycle Foreclosure Experience: A minimum of 3 years of hands-on foreclosure (or foreclosure and bankruptcy) experience — you understand how a file moves from opening to close
  • Florida Litigation Familiarity: Working knowledge of Florida court procedures, e-filing systems, and foreclosure-specific timelines and deadlines
  • Tech Proficiency: MS Office Suite required; experience with Aderant Total Office (ATO) and/or BKFS/Tempo is a strong plus
  • Exceptional Organization: Able to manage a high caseload with precision, prioritizing competing demands without sacrificing quality
  • Strong Communicator: Professional, clear, and effective with attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, and court staff alike
  • Team-Oriented: Collaborative and dependable — someone the team can count on when case volume surges
