Position Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer/Designer to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for supporting the development, design, and implementation of mechanical solutions throughout projects. They will provide mechanical aspects including, design, detail costing, studies, prototyping, and more. They will work collaboratively across departments and external suppliers to ensure successful completion of projects.

Position Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting in all aspects of engineering design from concept planning to completion for designated projects, specific to the discipline of mechanical engineering.
  • Review development of design for compliance with engineering standards, practices, and codes.
  • Realize product designs through translation of requirements and design specifications, coordinating with across departments to ensure project scope is met.
  • Support all phases of engineering testing responsibilities and deliverables.
  • Prepare and present technical presentation to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform field inspections as needed.
  • Provide mentoring to team members as needed.
  • Stay current on engineering developments, technology, materials, trends, and regulations.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology
  • Previous experience in analyzing, designing, and planning mechanical engineering systems in commercial buildings.
  • Proficient in preparing technical documents utilizing discipline specific software (i.e., Revit, AutoCAD, Trane Trace, ROHR2).
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients and effectively work and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of design and construction specifications
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics and ability to troubleshoot failures. Strong knowledge of EMI and Shielding Requirements
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills; able to analyze and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, with occasional overnight travel.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Must have reliable transportation to conduct client site visits.
