Job description

Radiance Technologies is seeking an IT Network Administrator to join our IT team in Dayton, OH. This position is responsible for maintaining and improving our network infrastructure, supporting end users, and helping ensure the security and reliability of our IT environment. The ideal candidate will have experience administering enterprise networks, troubleshooting complex issues, and working with modern networking and security technologies.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless systems, and VPN technologies.
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot networking equipment from vendors such as Fortinet, HPE Aruba, Cisco, and Palo Alto.
  • Assist with network design, upgrades, and infrastructure improvement projects.
  • Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor system performance and assist with vulnerability remediation and security improvements.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify requirements and implement reliable technology solutions.
  • Provide end-user support
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience; OR
    Minimum of 5 years of recent experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure and networking environments.
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Current CompTIA Security+ certification (or equivalent DoD 8140-approved baseline certification).
Required Experience
  • Experience administering enterprise network infrastructure including switching, routing, wireless, and firewall technologies.
  • Experience with Fortinet, HPE Aruba, Cisco, and/or Palo Alto networking and security solutions.
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, routing, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, network segmentation, and access controls.
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Entra ID.
  • Experience supporting Windows desktop and server operating systems.
  • Experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC Level 2 requirements.
  • Experience implementing cybersecurity best practices, system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and secure configuration management.
Desired Qualifications
  • DoD 8140 IAT Level II compliance.
  • Security+, CCNA, Fortinet, Aruba, Palo Alto, or similar industry certifications.
  • Experience with security monitoring, vulnerability management, and SIEM platforms.
  • Experience with VMware and endpoint security technologies.
  • Familiarity with DFARS, NIST SP 800-53, Zero Trust concepts, and cybersecurity compliance initiatives.
  • Experience supporting disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
