Job Title: Surgical Technician - L&D / OB Tech
Location: Washington, DC 20037
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 3x12-Hour Nights or Rotating
Hours per Week: 36 Hours
Guaranteed Hours: Dependent on facility requirements
Open Positions:
  • 1 position: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
  • 1 position: Rotating shift
Requirements:
  • Must have Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience
  • Must live at least 100 miles away
  • NBSTSA Certification (CST) required
  • Minimum 2 years of scrubbing experience in L&D required
  • Experience with cesarean sections (C/S) required
  • BLS certification required
  • Good communication skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Certified Surgical Technologist certification and registration required
  • Completion of an accredited surgical technology program or accredited nursing program required
Job Description / Responsibilities:
  • Prepare supplies, equipment, and instrumentation for surgical procedures
  • Maintain knowledge of surgical procedures and anticipate surgical team needs
  • Pass instruments and assist during surgical procedures
  • Assist primarily with Labor & Delivery cases including cesarean sections
  • Position and move patients safely
  • Perform case cleanup and room turnover
  • Support the surgical team throughout procedures

Seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist with strong L&D experience to support cesarean section procedures and assist the surgical team in a fast-paced clinical environment.
