Repsol has an opening for a Geology & Geophysics Intern located in The Woodlands, Texas.
Internship Details:
  • Position will be based out of our office in The Woodlands, TX. Interns are expected onsite Monday-Friday, with the exception of 9/80's. The 9/80 schedule is optional per the manager's discretion, based on intern project scope and timeline.
  • Non-local candidates may be considered but must arrange their own travel and temporary accommodations. A summer stipend will be provided to help offset out of pocket expenses.
  • Students must be available for the full duration of the internship from May 17th - Aug 6th. Any personal time off must be approved by the supervisor as unpaid leave and should be noted with the recruiter as early as possible.
  • Interns will receive an hourly wage but are not eligible for benefits or paid time off. Interns will be compensated for observed company holidays.

Responsibilities:
  • Support team members with day-to-day tasks and project activities
  • Assist with data compilation, organization, and basic interpretation of subsurface data
  • Help prepare maps, exhibits, presentations, and technical documentation
  • Participate in team meetings, reviews, and discussions to gain insight into subsurface workflows
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams as needed
  • Follow established safety standards, procedures, and company policies

Qualifications
  • Fully authorized to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship now or in the future. Additionally, we are not authorized for employment under OPT/CPT/F1 visa programs.
  • Successful completion of 2 years towards a Bachelor's (or higher) in Geology or a related geoscience field (Earth Science, Environmental Science, Geophysics)
  • Must be a currently enrolled student for the Fall 2027 semester. Candidates should not have graduated before the start of the internship.
  • Detail-oriented, a strong analytical background
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of Products
  • Demonstrate an understanding and enthusiasm for the oil and gas industry
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with a variety of technical and non-technical staff
  • Able to work independently and within a team
  • Professional conduct is fundamental to success in this position
  • Proven organizational and time management skills
