Job Title: Events Manager

(9-Month Contractor)


Overview

We are seeking a 9-month contractor to support the Strategic Events team as an Event Manager. This role will help plan, coordinate, and execute high-visibility strategic events. The ideal candidate is highly organized, calm under pressure, and experienced in running complex events end to end. They should be able to manage details without losing sight of the bigger picture, work effectively across marketing, sales, operations, and external partners, and keep programs moving on time and on budget.


Responsibilities
  • Support planning and execution of strategic events and other priority programs
  • Manage event timelines, milestones, workback plans, and cross-functional dependencies
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders across marketing, sales, product, creative, operations, and leadership
  • Partner with vendors, venues, agencies, and production teams to deliver polished event experiences
  • Track spend against budget and manage operational requirements
  • Support attendee management, registration workflows, communications, and run-of-show planning
  • Build and maintain event briefs, status updates, and post-event recaps
  • Troubleshoot issues quickly and keep stakeholders informed when plans change
  • Help ensure every event reflects the organization's brand, standards, and strategic priorities
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in event management, field marketing, experiential marketing, or corporate events
  • Experience supporting large-scale, high-visibility, or executive-level events
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-moving environment

Success in the Role

In the first 90 days, the Event Manager should be able to:

  • Quickly get up to speed on the Strategic Events calendar and operating rhythms
  • Own event workstreams with minimal supervision
  • Keep stakeholders aligned with clear updates and issue escalation
  • Support flawless execution for priority programs
  • Contribute to a reliable, repeatable event process that scales across programs
