Drees Homes, one of the largest privately-owned homebuilders in the nation, is looking for a Corporate and Brand Communications Director to work in our Corporate Marketing Department, located in Fort Mitchell, KY.  This position will lead the company's internal communications, public relations, earned media, earned social, and organic digital strategies.  The Corporate and Brand Communications Director will develop and implement communications and organic social strategies that strengthen the Drees Company's corporate image and support it's marketing, promotional, and internal communication goals. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute internal/employee communications plan 
  • Serve as the strategist for organic social media, managing all aspects of brand storytelling and social lead generation efforts.  Monitor organic performance, interpret data, and implement meaningful optimization.
  • Create and leverage influencer marketing campaigns and homeowner testimonials.
  • Partner with National Marketing Director and Marketing Communication Specialists to develop targeted solutions aimed at improving home shopper engagement and conversion. 
  • Lead reputation management.  Moderate social media conversations and monitor media mentions of Drees Homes and our competitors.
  • Serve as a lead in managing crisis communications by responding to inquiries and, when directed, act as a company spokesperson.  Assist and guide division locations in responding appropriately.
  • Handle national and regional ranking and award submissions by drafting entries, coordinating with stakeholders, and submitting the information needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the VP of Marketing.
  • Approximately 10% of travel may be required.
  • Position requires work outside of normal business hours as needed. 
 
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communications 
  • Works well with executive and senior leadership
  • Adept at social media and public relations platforms and corresponding analytics tools 
  • Possesses strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities 
  • Management experience is a plus! 
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing or Journalism is required
  • 8+ years in public relations, corporate communications, ad agency experience, or related field is required
  • Experience managing social media for B to C business 
  • Creative results driven individual that can implement strategic goals and leverage insights to direct activity
  • Has a strong consumer orientation that translates well in both internal communications and external outreach 
  • Has a passion for storytelling and brand building

The typical schedule of this position will be Monday – Friday 8 AM to 5 PM, plus additional hours as necessary.
