Job Summary
The Neonatal Bed Cleaning Technician will perform the cleaning of neonatal beds per manufacturer instructions, under the direction of the Neonatal nursing manager.
Accountabilities
Cleans and disinfects infant warmers and isolettes according to the bed manufacturer's instructions for use (IFU).
-Receives training from manufacturer on bed mechanics and cleaning steps. 40%
Uses hospital-approved disinfectants and follows disinfectant contact/wet time. 20%
Follows a dirty to clean workflow in the designated cleaning area. 10%
Moves clean beds to appropriate clean storage location. 10%
Maintains adequate cleaning supplies in the designated cleaning area, requests more from supervisor as needed. 10%
Transport beds needing repair to Clinical engineering. 10%
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.
