Job description

The Accounting Technology team (ATEAM) drives process optimization, standardization, and technology adoption across Amazon's global Accounting organization. We are building Accounting Central, an automation and data solution platform that aims to eliminate manual accounting procedures and mitigate financial reporting risks in the production of Amazon's financial statements. We are seeking a Principal Technical Product Manager to lead and drive the vision for Accounting Central and the future of Amazon's financial statement reporting platform.


In this role, you will own and drive the product vision for Accounting Central, operating at the intersection of enterprise software, AI solutions and accounting operations. You will have a deep understanding of the accounting domain and the technical landscape to ensure our products deliver meaningful outcomes for global stakeholders.
This role will shape how AI capabilities are integrated into accounting workflows, positioning Accounting Central as the intelligent hub for accountants at Amazon.
Key job responsibilities
Own and drive the long-term product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for Accounting Central, aligning prioritization with internal resourcing, accounting stakeholder needs, and controllership objectives.
Influence technical architecture decisions and define product requirements-identifying opportunities for simplification, consolidation, AI-driven development, and improved user experience.
Drive cross-functional and cross-organizational alignment and consensus across engineering, program management, UX, and accoutning stakeholders to deliver results at scale.
Define and track success metrics and KPIs, using data-driven insights to inform product decisions, opportunities for improvement, and prioritization of product features and roadmap
Serve as the connective tissue between engineering, program management, and non-technical accounting stakeholders, communicating product vision, trade-offs, and progress to VP-level leadership and cross-organizational stakeholders.

The ATEAM (Accounting, Tools, Entities, Automation, and Management Reporting) Technology team is comprised of product managers, program managers, engineers, and technical resources within Amazon Finance Technology. We build intelligent, scalable solutions that simplify and automate accounting processes at Amazon scale
