Job description

SUMMARY 

The Armed Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, tenants, guests, and property assets. This role conducts patrols, monitors suspicious activity, responds to incidents, and enforces security policies while carrying a firearm in accordance with state and company regulations. The position requires sound judgment, strong observation skills, and the ability to respond calmly and professionally to routine and emergency situations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  1. Provide armed security services at assigned locations, including access control and screening of individuals and belongings entering the facility, while enforcing all site-specific rules, policies, and procedures, including NFL Best Practices.
  2. Carry and handle a firearm safely and responsibly in accordance with all applicable Massachusetts laws, regulations, and company policies including the Use of Force policy and requirements governing armed security guards under the Watchman License Provision of M.G.L.
  3. Conduct routine foot patrols of assigned areas; monitor entrances, exits, restricted zones, and high-risk areas to enforce access control procedures.
  4. Identify, observe, and document safety hazards, security vulnerabilities, suspicious activity, and unsafe conditions, report concerns through the incident management system for corrective action.
  5. Respond immediately to security breaches, disturbances, alarms, and emergencies; coordinate with law enforcement, fire, EMS and Stadium Security Command as required. 
  6. Prepare clear, accurate, and professional incident reports and daily activity logs within the incident management system.
  7. Maintain strict confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism at all times.
  8. Assist with Executive Protection assignments and perform travel as required.
  9. Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
  10. Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPAA. 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience
  • 6 – 8 years of prior armed security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred
  • Knowledge of security operations, access control procedures, and emergency response protocols
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to prepare detailed and accurate incident documentation
  • Strong observational skills with sound judgement and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive in high-pressure or emergency situations
  • Proficiency with computers, incident reporting systems, and general report-writing skills
  • Completion of required firearms training and ongoing requalification
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as required by business needs

  • The noise in the work environment is typically moderate but loud on event days
