When you join our team, you join a dynamic organization in which career development is encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is prized. Come find out how our people power modern life.

About this Role

Quanta Services is seeking a Media Operations Specialist to join our Marketing team in Houston, Texas, reporting to the Creative Director. This role owns and optimizes Quanta's media library as an intelligence-grade asset - ensuring that footage, photography, interviews, event content, and finished deliverables are findable, structured, and ready to feed production teams across Quanta and its operating companies. The Media Operations Specialist lives on the cutting edge of AI in media, evaluating new tools, integrating them into daily workflow, and using AI-assisted prep work to tee up projects for editors so the team moves faster than the work demands. This is a contributing production team member, not a siloed specialist - the media library is the primary domain, but the role optimizes AI workflows that lift the whole team and steps into production and editing needs when the work calls for it.

What You'll Do

Library & Platform Ownership

  • Own Quanta's media library end to end - server, DAM, Vimeo, and adjacent stores - ensuring naming conventions, folder structure, taxonomy, and access controls are designed and consistently maintained;
  • Treat the library as a living asset that continues to develop as the team and work grow; and
  • Centralize media for internal stakeholders, contractors, and operating company teams to maximize the value of each file and support leadership goals across the organization.

AI-Ready Metadata, Taxonomy & Media Sourcing

  • Build and maintain the schemas, vocabularies, and tagging conventions that make the library searchable by humans and machines;
  • Apply AI tools for transcription, scene detection, automated tagging, and retrieval so the library surfaces answers before stakeholders ask; and
  • Own the team's AI media stack - evaluate, integrate, configure, and train the team on new tools as they emerge, and partner with the Creative Director on adoption decisions.

Editorial Curation & Assistant Editing

  • Watch footage with a story brain on - surface material with editorial value, build curated reels, and tee up content for future projects;
  • Use AI tools to prep projects for editors, including transcribing interviews, building selects, generating rough cuts, and surfacing relevant archive footage; and
  • Produce editor-ready handoffs that multiply editor capacity, with the ability to edit directly as needed.

Content & Capability Reels

  • Keep Quanta's screens and capability reels current by sourcing, producing, and refreshing media for the first floor screen, fifth floor screen, job site footage, and conference and trade show string-outs; and
  • Actively identify new media to integrate across the Quanta library.

Ingest, DIT & Quality Control

  • Set the standards for ingest and DIT - checksums, format compliance, and metadata - and oversee shared execution with the production team;
  • Provide occasional on-set support for high-stakes shoots; and
  • Apply QC as a consistent habit throughout - naming, metadata, format, archival hygiene, and removal of safety-flagged shots - catching issues upstream before they propagate.

Workflow Documentation

  • Codify ingest, organization, retrieval, and AI workflows into clear SOPs that Quanta and its operating company teams can rely on; and
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
What You'll Bring

What You'll Bring

Required Education and Experience

  • 3 or more years of experience in digital asset management, media operations, or a closely related discipline;
  • Demonstrated experience managing media libraries at scale across video, photo, and audio;
  • Working knowledge of metadata schemas and controlled vocabulary design;
  • Experience with DIT and ingest workflows;
  • Working proficiency in editing tools including Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve;
  • Working editorial eye with the ability to identify story potential in raw footage and prepare content for downstream creative use; and
  • Active interest in the AI media landscape with concrete examples of tools evaluated, adopted, or built into workflows.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Background in story-driven editing, brand storytelling, or documentary content curation preferred;
  • Experience integrating DAM and asset systems with adjacent tools via API or automation preferred;
  • Formal or self-taught training in library science, archival studies, or information management a plus; and
  • Exposure to energy infrastructure or trade-industry media environments a plus.
