Job description

Position Summary The Head Start Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, inclusive classroom that promotes school readiness. Responsibilities include implementing Creative Curriculum, documenting child progress using Teaching Strategies GOLD, maintaining compliance with Ohio licensing requirements and Head Start Performance Standards, and partnering with families to support child development.

Essential Responsibilities

Assist with daily classroom instruction and routines.

Implement Creative Curriculum activities.

Observe and document child progress in Teaching Strategies GOLD.

Maintain active supervision and a safe learning environment.

Support children's social-emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.

Communicate professionally with families.

Minimum Qualifications
