Advantage Early Learning Academy is seeking an experienced and passionate Corporate Curriculum Director to lead educational excellence across our organization!

The Corporate Curriculum Director plays a critical leadership role in ensuring instructional excellence, maintaining compliance with Ohio's Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) standards, and supporting teachers and administrators in delivering exceptional educational experiences.

This position requires a dynamic leader who is knowledgeable in Teaching Strategies GOLD, curriculum implementation, classroom coaching, and early childhood best practices. The Corporate Curriculum Director will travel between all Advantage Early Learning Academy locations, providing coaching, training, classroom support, and quality assurance while partnering with center leadership to continuously improve educational outcomes.

Essential ResponsibilitiesCurriculum Leadership
  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of curriculum across all Advantage Early Learning Academy locations.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of Teaching Strategies GOLD and Creative Curriculum with fidelity.
  • Monitor lesson planning, child assessments, documentation, and developmental progress.
  • Support teachers in developing engaging, developmentally appropriate, play-based learning experiences aligned with the Ohio Early Learning and Development Standards.
  • Evaluate classroom instruction and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) & Licensing Compliance
  • Serve as the organization's curriculum expert for Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) requirements.
  • Assist centers in achieving and maintaining high-quality ratings.
  • Conduct internal classroom observations and program audits to ensure compliance with SUTQ and Ohio Department of Children and Youth (DCY) licensing regulations.
  • Develop corrective action plans and provide coaching to improve classroom quality.
  • Stay current on all state regulations, curriculum updates, and best practices in early childhood education.
Coaching & Professional Development
  • Provide instructional coaching to Lead Teachers, Assistant Teachers, and Center Leadership.
  • Develop and facilitate professional development trainings.
  • Mentor new teachers through onboarding and classroom support.
  • Model effective teaching strategies and classroom management techniques.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and educational excellence.
Classroom Quality Assurance
  • Conduct routine classroom observations using Teaching Strategies GOLD and internal quality assessment tools.
  • Review lesson plans, child portfolios, assessments, and classroom environments for quality and compliance.
  • Ensure classrooms maintain high standards of organization, aesthetics, and educational engagement.
  • Support teachers in implementing individualized instruction based on child assessment data.
Leadership & Management
  • Partner with Executive Leadership and Center Directors to improve educational outcomes across all centers.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, evaluating, and mentoring educational staff.
  • Support performance improvement plans when necessary.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and excellence.
  • Assist with strategic planning and organizational educational initiatives.
Travel & Center Support
  • Travel regularly between all Advantage Early Learning Academy locations.
  • Provide on-site coaching, classroom support, and administrative assistance.
  • Respond to urgent educational or compliance needs as they arise.
  • Maintain flexibility to support centers during licensing visits, staff shortages, or organizational initiatives.
Family & Community Engagement
  • Support family engagement initiatives that strengthen partnerships between home and school.
  • Assist with parent education events and curriculum-related communications.
  • Promote the organization's mission and educational philosophy throughout the community.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate curriculum records, classroom audits, coaching documentation, and assessment reports.
  • Analyze Teaching Strategies GOLD data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with grant requirements, accreditation initiatives, and organizational reporting.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for Executive Leadership.

  • Demonstrated experience implementing Teaching Strategies GOLD and Creative Curriculum.
  • Extensive knowledge of Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) requirements and classroom quality standards.
  • Experience coaching teachers and leading professional development.
  • Valid Ohio Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to travel frequently between all Advantage Early Learning Academy locations.
  • Must meet all Ohio Department of Children and Youth employment requirements.
