Job description

Position Summary

As an Aquatics Swim Instructor, you will work in a fast-paced environment. You will help both adults and children improve their swimming. You will teach life skills to our youngest members and evaluate their swimming ability to establish the correct swim level. You will help to maintain the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Instructs swimming lessons and Aquatics events
  • Responds to member questions, comments, and concerns
  • Provides a safe, clean and organized pool area
  • Promotes and sells all Aquatics programs and services

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Working towards a High School Diploma or GED

Years of Experience:

  • Successfully complete and pass all Life Time courses upon hire
  • Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
  • Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
  • Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:

  • StarGuardElite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge toStarGuardwhen current certification expires or within 1styear, whichever is first).For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Swim lesson instruction or coaching experience
PayThis is an hourly position with wages starting at $15.00 and pays up to $18.75, based on experience and qualifications.Benefits
